We built OGLAS Marine for wave buoys deployed in Antarctic sea ice — the Waves-in-Ice program, off East Antarctica. Buoys that drift with the pack, report over satellite, and are never coming home. Every capture matters, every volt of battery matters, and there is no second visit.
If it survives there, it’ll survive your site.
Every buoy, every fix, on one map
Each deployment is a site: every buoy on a live map with its full drift track, current mode, battery voltage, temperature and last-seen time.
Fourteen days or a full season — the history stays yours, in open formats, imported straight from the archives your instruments already produce.
Real science data, not just averages
Wave height and period are the summary — the data is the full wave-energy spectrum, stored capture by capture as first-class vector data, next to the ordinary telemetry.
Spectral density, direction by frequency, moments, max-wave statistics and quality flags — the numbers a researcher actually needs, on a page a field team can read.
Ask the AI about any of it
The same Ask engine as the rest of OGLAS, pointed at your deployment: “which buoys are low on battery?”, “when did 11004 last capture?”, “plot Hm0 for the last month”.
It reads the real readings through real tools — the database does the maths, the model does the explaining. Your data never leaves your server to be someone else’s training set.
Proven where it’s hardest
Built with researchers for the Waves-in-Ice program — buoy fleets from the Korea Polar Research Institute and Tasmanian deployments spanning 2019–2024, thousands of captures each, imported and browsable end to end.
The same kit handles moorings, aquaculture leases, workboats and coastal stations — anything wet, remote, and expensive to visit. Satellite when there’s no coverage, LoRa when there’s a shore station, and the same local-first storage either way.
